CranberriesHistoric and Healthy Cranberries

Cranberries have been served for Thanksgiving since the earliest times.  Probably because the harvest time for this fruit is late September to early December, making them as fresh and readily available to us as they were for the very first Thanksgiving.  The bright red cranberry is also one of the foods indigenous to North America, introduced to our early settlers by Indians - this makes it the perfect fruit to symbolize this holiday.

Now we continue with this tradition in a new light, with the health benefits of this tart berry in mind.   It is clear that the cranberry is full of anti-oxidants, and contributes to overall health. To help you incorporate this historic, healthy fruit into your holiday menu, we have selected several tasty recipes  for you and your family to enjoy!
